VSME (Voluntary SME Standard)
Voluntary simplified sustainability reporting standard by EFRAG for small and mid-sized enterprises.
The Voluntary SME Standard (VSME) is a lightweight reporting standard developed by EFRAG for SMEs not in scope of the CSRD. It offers a structured way to respond to requests from supply chain partners, banks or investors without implementing the full ESRS.
The standard consists of a basic module with core data and optional more comprehensive modules that can be added as needed.
Since the Omnibus 2026, VSME is effectively the reference standard for SME disclosures in value chains.
