GHG Protocol (Greenhouse Gas Protocol)

World-leading standard for measuring and reporting greenhouse gas emissions across Scopes 1, 2 and 3.

The Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) is the globally recognised standard for measuring and reporting greenhouse gas emissions. It splits emissions into three 'Scopes' covering different sources.

Published jointly by the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), the standard underpins nearly every major reporting framework — including CSRD, CDP and SBTi.
